Most Grips Lat Bar Review
Continuing on the cable attachment process, we got our hands on the MOST Grips Lat Pulldown Bars earlier this year. These take a lot of inspiration from the MAGs, but were clearly made by someone who really didn’t “get it”.
You can read the full review right here. Or check out the video at the button below.
VOLTRA Expert Episode 5 w/ The Tissue Guy
This was an awesome chat with another home gym nerd who is tinkering with his VOLTRAs just like the rest of us, but also pairing his background in rehab and other modalities with it.
New Pipeline Pieces

We snagged a set of the REP Quickdraw dumbbells for two purposes. First, a lot of our tinkering with adjustable dumbbells has led me to some new realizations recently. So I wanted a smaller set available for this project. And second, we are setting up a home gym for my mom and these are going to eventually be for her (we’ll show off her gym in the early parts of 2027). You can check out the Quickdraws right here.
With the ever expanding universe of digital resistance, I really wanted to tinker with a more “all in one” solution. But I also didn’t want one in my garage, as I don’t think it is the right fit for my gym. The team over at Innodigym reached out and offered to send us their newest OMNI X1, as part of a partnered project with some of my friends. My buddy Tim, who I coach with, regularly lifts at my place. But sometimes life gets in the way. This project will look like the one we did with my brother-in-law Justin, where Tim is going to share his feedback and experiences (alongside his wife’s) and I’ll share my expert opinions, comparisons to the VOLTRA and other options, you name it. Check it out here.
Joe’s Training Update
I posted a clip from my chat with Matt Coop on the VOLTRAs, where we talk about Isokinetic. This was the first time that Isokinetic mode made sense to me and really clicked. I spent last week testing it in a number of fashions in my workout, and I think I’ve got some really intriguing use cases for this mode that are going to take up permanent residence in my training. After my chats with a couple others, Isometric mode is the next piece I am tinkering with, as I found a few things seem to not work well with Isokinetic. More to come soon!

October AMAs

Freak Athlete kicks off our October AMAs this week… followed by Bells of Steel next week, ForceUSA, Fringe Sport, and REP Fitness wrapping it up before we dive into the Holiday Season!
One Last Thing…
Audrey competed in her first Ninja Warrior Competition this last weekend at her local gym, Lightning Ninja Academy. She only had 1 other girl in her age group, but she managed to beat all but one of the boys (who was an entire year older than her). On top of that, she was the ONLY one in her age group that full cleared all 10 obstacles on both her attempts.
And even better… The other girl in her group ran her first attempt and missed getting the warped wall buzzer by about 1 second. She was pretty upset and ended up running out of the building with tears in her eyes. Audrey got up on her own and went and checked on her to make sure she was ok and to give her encouragement for her second run. The girl came back and finished the entire course a solid 20 seconds ahead of her first attempt.
I told Audrey, it is awesome how good she is at Ninja. It is even more awesome how good of a person she is.
So remember, we can be fierce competitors, but it is also awesome to be a legit good person and care for others, even those that you are competing against.
Good luck in the GGC my friends…
Joe
