I’ve been lifting from home since early 2013 when I bought a pipe, some plates, and began my “pilot test” of the home gym life. Black Friday of that same year I put in a big order from Rogue and said bye bye to my commercial gym days.

A full 10 years have gone bye, and I haven’t set foot in a commercial gym. I look around my garage and so much has changed, but one thing remains the same. My Rogue R3 rack.

It was everything I ever wanted. It was the best power rack for a home gym in many ways.

But do I still feel this way today? With so many new companies, rack iterations, 3x3 uprights and 1 inch hardware, would I still pick the Rogue R3 today if I was starting over? Is it still, the best power rack for a home gym?
